hi i was just wondering what is the easiest way to sample an old song. i need to know what programs i can use. I dont have any money to buy any samplers or turntables ,but you can name a hardware i'll just beg my mom to death to get me one. ,but just try to name only software/programs.

Maybe try Audacity and/or Kristal -that is what I am doing- both co$t nothing.

It depends on what you want to sample. If you have a computer, you essentially already have a sampler. If you want to sample stuff off of CDs, just rip the CD, load up the wave in a program like Audacity, and cut the bit out.

If you want to sample from other sources, you have to hook up that source into the line-in of your soundcard, possible with an preamplifier in there as well (microphones, turntables, etc). You should be able to hook up anything with line level outputs to the inputs on your soundcard and just record.
