I want a decent synth for a good price and the Yamaha CS2x seems to fit that category. Anyone know of good places online to buy this product(in the USA) from?

i have been reading a lot of posts on here and the yamaha cs2x seems to be the synthesizer of choice. If anyone knows where I can get some of the required PC software for this stuff, please let me know.

hey 80's boy,

the best place to get synths that i know of is ebay of course. at the time of this writing, one is auctioning off for 350US. if you don't like used gear, check out:

as for you dj cheshire, software for the cs2x can be obtained at:
http://www.yamahasynth.com/down/index.htm
but it really isn't necessary...

Thanks for the advice. I'm all about used equipment, I don't see anything wrong with saving a few dollars. However I think I'm going to get a better PC intead of buying hardware. A midi controler will work fine, I'll just use software synths and computer sequencers for the time being.
