Hate to say - but more and more DJs are getting Record Deals. I have one, my track is coming early this year on a small independant Dance Label. Through them I managed to get to remix someone relatively well known. If you are fortunate to be on any mailing lists as a DJ - the guys in the promotions dept will know who you are. This I see as a good way in - as they will know the guys in the A&R dept, or will suggest someone that demos can go to. This is a good start as at least you have a named contact to send something to. Its a way I currently try when sending demos, and its worked ! KEEP TRYING - NEVER GIVE UP COZ ONE DAY IT WILL HAPPEN

I believe they come from record labels, but don't quote me on that.

Sorry this is off topic

Kasio - time to empty your inbox I got a joke for you...

Whilst I'm at it I might aswell share it with the rest of you. It's not that good but :
A man boards an aeroplane and takes his seat. As he settles in, he glances
up and sees a most beautiful woman boarding the plane.
He soon realises she is heading straight towards his seat. A wave of
nervous anticipation washes over him.

Lo and behold, she takes the seat right beside his.
Eager to strike up a conversation, he blurts out, "Business trip or vacation?".
"Nymphomaniac Convention in Milan," she states.
Whoa!!! He swallows hard and is instantly crazed with excitement. Here's
>the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen, sitting RIGHT next to him and
she's going to a meeting of nymphomaniacs! Struggling to maintain his outward cool, he calmly asks, "What's your business role at this convention?"

"Lecturer", she says. "I use my experiences to debunk some of the popular myths about sexuality."

"Really," he says, swallowing hard, "what myths are those?"

"Well," she explains, "one popular myth is that Black men are the most well-endowed when, in fact, it is the Native American Indian who is most likely to possess that trait. Another popular myth is that French men are the best lovers, when actually it is men of Greek descent."

Suddenly, the woman becomes very embarrassed and blushes. "I'm sorry," she says, "I shouldn't be discussing this with you, I don't even know your name!".

"Tonto," the man says, as he extends his hand. "Tonto Papadopoulos."

evry label has website, find the adress and send
the demo..... even its better to have email-contact to the guys there...... connections of people is very imortant, give the files to some djs - ask them to play ur sound - if they like it..... it will happen automaticly.....

there will be the time u will talk to an a&r of a label
the man which will say u: " ****ing good tracks - we make a compilation - ur track is the one we want."

ask some artists how to do - mostly ist not hard to
find thoose emails in the net - the trick is :

go to the people ! start the dialog!

and take care ...even about the cash!

FINISHED FILES ARE THE RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC
STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS

count the F !

First you have to build up your "image". I think that you shouldn't send demos anywhere until you have a live gear, small fanbase, some radioplay and graphics (logos, cd covers, website etc.) done. It's much easier to offer the whole package to a label rather than sending a cd without covers with 2 songs you created with Fruityloops..
