I couldnt find anything on this topic in the search...

I want to know if you got any tips on how to loop a sample perfectly. I sometimes increase the song bpm by a decimal to try to get it to 'flow' better. I know some man are just chopping loops up but for me that just makes it jerky between parts of the sample. I think maybe I need better software..im looking for something like an MPC in software form where u can lay markers and whatever until it SOUNDS perfect after playback. I dont like Audition or ****like that cos its all done visually...im gonna get a hardware sampler at some point but id like to know if theres any software similar to my description.

easy

even though i hate to say this...its easier and more efficient to sample on software.

i hear that ReCycle 2.1 is a good program to sample on. personally i sample on the MPC or on sound forge for mp3s and wavs.

Currently on my grind...

recycles real nice. acid is good too. you can make loops in soundforge. once you get an idea of where the put your end points at visually, its a lot easier to make good loops.

Probaly the closes thing to the ASR 10 as far as software goes. I would say kontakt , but your not going to get the ASR 10 sound.

It's still going to be jerky if you use Recycle... There's no real timestretch on Recycle, even though everybody keeps saying there is...

I just use the tap tempo button on the MPC, but the main thing is to make sure your sample loops when its being chopped, then I set the tempo, then turn it a little higher to set the swing, a surprise might be is that when you listen to some of you fav songs the loops don't always loop up. the lyrics and other insturmenation make them fit. Also when you sample records the people then were playing live so the tempos will vary.
