Rex2 in NNXT .. never tried it, but I would assume that NNXT being a sampler will play at the natural rate ... same as the embeded wave an ignore the slices, I don't recall a tempo function in the NNXT but I could be wrong ... use your ears and play wit the tempo

with the NNXT you can set it up to use the slices, Thats one of the things I do, due to the fact that you can filter each slice differently. and you have 8 outs to eq them and add effects differently. but with NNXT it won't do the functions of dr rex. but I'm sure you could use the CV gate funtions to tigger it somehow to play back how you want it to.

if you have a good sample u've cut up , bounce down then send it to recycle assign ure points to chop up further then bounce down to .sf2 then open it in reason's nn-xt and each induvidual chop in recyle should be a note in nn-xt startin with C1 or the first pad if u have a micokontrol or trigger finger etc.

^ You have to have ReCycle, you save your loops/chops as a REX2 file. Then load it up in the Dr.Rex player and copy it to your sequencer or further edit it.

I never used the NNXT 4 samples before, I'ma have to try that.

I see your fear. I see your greed. Only when I plunge... will you see me. Prick.

All I use are the NNXT + Recycle. It works really well if you know your way around Reason. And good samples are a must! I load my Rexs in NNXT and I'll add wav chops to it too if find other things I need. Dr. Rex is useless to me.

Question. Can you do loops in the NNXT? And when you chop shlt up, do you set ur markers in ReCycle or do you just make seperate chops and load them up in their own NNXT rack? Cuz DrRex, I really don't like it either, I've only used it for my loops, but I been thinking of switchin to FL cuz it seems so limited.

For loops I usually get the bpm straight and just loop the wav in the sequencer. There's no timestretch though so FL might be better for that. I just haven't had a need for timestretch yet. If I do I can stretch in something else and still dump the loop in reason.

Both. If I have a big sample with lots of useful chops I'll use Recycle. Then if I want chops here and there I'll just sample wav chops and dump them to NNXT. Saving as I go until I have everything together.
