Yeah man that's a great place to be at if you're curious about what sample was used for your favorite hip hop track. It'd also be good to take a a track's sample and flip it a different way for fun.

Of course when you want to start makin real tracks you should find your own samples...

with this information, you can try to actually recreate songs, to see how some producers work and get to know their "basic-techniques"

but as you mentioned it's better to find your own samples

Yeah man trying to make the same track over again is a perfect way to figure out some tricks that the best producers in the game use..If you want to learn how so and so got that stutter fade jump pan to his track, try and do it lol

yeah me too. it feels so bad when you find something fresh, look, and its been sampled like five times already.

depending on who sampled it or how many people did, sometimes i wont flip it at all, if it was used in a song that people will remember.
