everybody that digs comes across a gem every now and then. most of the time it will come off a record u dont even expect will have anything. so who has gotten some steals. got a reocord for like 50 cents and it was loaded with samples and breaks.
for me, my boy went to the goodwill and picked up this mannhiem steamroller record. we was wantin that orchestral/cinematic kind of sample. we found 3 good samples on that record. we didnt even think it would have anything on it like that but we lucked out. and that same day he got a dramatics record that had a good sample and some open drums too.l

to be honest my gradfather gave me his classical record collection (some records were originals from the 60's going even back to schellak from the 40's) with loads of good classical stuff to sample from
let's not forget soundtracks from the 70ties and similar

let me switch up on your style here for a min... here is my steal.
i work in hvac and i go into the city to work alot. one day i went to this old ladys house and in her basement was about 50 or 60 old records. so i asked her what the deal was. she told me she was throwing them out so i offered to take em off her hads (free) when i got them home it was all like rick james , curtis mayfield , schooly d, bdp, mantronix , disco 3 (old fat boys) , tla rock, ect. i had just been blessed by the record god lol!
i have more stories everybit as nice as this but just for the shear fact that could be in the dumpster well that would break my heart.
some go to items in my project studio; MPC2000xl,macbookpro2.4ghz,m-audio Projectmix, Logic Pro, technics 1200's, pioneer djm 707, m-audio Torq conectiv, kaoss pad kp2, behringer 2222fx mixer, roland vs-1680, alesis fusion 8hd, my soul.
