I keep reading little quotes by Zappa in here and just wondered who in here likes Zappa and listens to a lot of his orchestral lambastings? I've been a big fan for about 5 years now, but can't remember how I got into him. I think I was stoned and someone put on Apostrophe CD and I was enthralled in Nanook's tale of baby seals and yellow snow...And then St. Alphonso's Pancake Breakfast was the deciding factor. This guy is insane and I gotta hear more...Ironically I hear that he was drug free for all of his years...Ya wouldn't think that after watching 200 Motels...If yer sober going into that flick, ya won't be when ya come out....What do the rest of you think?.....Innovator or lunitic?...well probably a bit of both...

Some other Zappa albums you might want to check out are:

Lumpy Gravy
Uncle Meat
Mothers of Invention (the album cover is a parody of a Beatles album).

Aw yea the Mothers of Invention is probably my fav...Lotta late 60's social commentary in there. That's funny how the cover parodies the Beatles because it was Zappa who influenced the Sgt. Pepper album.

My fav Zappa albums are:

Freak Out

Joe's Garage (it sounds and plays out like a cheezy high school musical gone wrong)

Shiek Yerbouti
