i do all kinds of beats.........hip hop, reggaeton.........whatever....

i cant understand where all the reggaeton drum samples came from??? someone said they took it from old puerto-rican music but idk................

yeah i know the same beat can get tiring but its not really like "oh we have no imagination so we just use the same **** over and over" its more like a chant thing.........seeing who can flip the same song a diff way.....reggaeton is like "reggae-thon............it never ends its like the same song

thats why in reggaeton videos like the beat just switches up a little and 5 different artists shine on one video..

its meant to be the same song just remixed and remixed and remixed.......

it really should be called salsa-rap-remix-a-thon....lol

idk whatever..........

i like it.........i like dancehall too.........and reggae and bachata and salsa.................think about it tho bachata and salsa all have the same beats every song.......i guess we spanish folks have a habit of doing that?........

Well... im just introducing myself, my name is facundo... im 19 years old... im argentinan... and oddly i produce reggaeton beats... dont ask me why or how i got enrolled into this genre but i have...

i have a collection of over 3000 song [ just reggaeton ] and over 250 cds... [ mostly **** ]

i lived in central america for 15 years... honduras more specificly... graduated school at 16... started workin in radio... then web design.. then video editing in canal 11... [any hondurans in here? ... didnt think so... ] and finally... my folks... native argentinians... decided to move back... around feb04... its been a year...

and i believe i have brought to u several solutions... ive been producing for a couple of years now... 1.5 - 2 years... and ive encontered several things... while ur reading check out my beats... i know what i speak...

MY BEATS!

like many of u i had no idea of where reggaeton had come from... so i did some research... im ashamed of so many people speakin with no basis... ok... back to the point... first of all... reggaeton [which had several names on the beginnings like computo / playero ] began in a rather different way than most people believe... aroung the 80´s, Old Dj Negro had a club called The Noise... [im not exact on this] and apparently this is the place where it all started... young... 12 - 15 year old rappers went up to this place and started freestyling on some looped reggae drums... unfortunatelly... there was no other thing... nowadays reggaeton is a lot diferent from old school reggae drum freestyle... but moving on...

From this ¨tournamet¨ came out the early stars of reggaeton... like for ex Vico C [ dont anyone dare say 5hit bout vico ] Ivy Queen, even though i dont like him Daddy Yankee originally Winchester Yankee... and so many others... baby rasta / guanabanas / yaga mackie etc...

they recorded next to dj playero and dj negro the legacy of ¨The Noise¨we have 11 the noises... this was parallel to the growth of the spanish reggae.. which for some reason is also considered inside the same category as regaeton... i mean, panama and puerto rico have nothing alike... not the beats... not the lirics, style or voices... its very diferent... panamas reggae is a lot more like ja reggae... i think im not wrong...

but reggaeton has changed over the past 3 - 5 years... young mo fu ks have shown up... and making great use of software audio production they have slowly evolved reggaeton [ dont really care if many of u dont like it ] and know reggaeton is starting to make a name for itself... there where no forums as of 8 - 10 months back.. now u have hundreds... i am personally a mod to one of the largest ones... dont know if im able to mention sites on this one.. but here goes...

just enter www.zonamusical.net we have a biggass comunity of dominican / puertorican / cuban ohh and one argentinan! lol...

well u might have heard of a couple of my beats by now.. im in this for the beats... the drums might sound the same.. but hip hop and dancehall is a lot more monotonous... when u hear reggaeton u should all watch ur heads... cause its a fu kin shootout...

dam im tired of typing... i got more information bout the whole reggae - pnama reggaeton/reggae - reggaeton/pr evolution.. so if anyone is interested come check us out at zonamusical.net im personally located in the fruitloops section...

ps. ive heard tracks made from plenty of people here.. and they sound like ****...

ademas... belizenio all ur songs sound like reggaeton.. only that with lame beats... and pis poor drums...

cant recall who else was talkin sh!t without knowin... but the only thing reggaeton owes ja.. is the name... and im sorry that that is so...

ill be taking off.. read yall later.

so glad that you have appointed yourself has the music historian.

I disagree with your statement, but i doesnt it really matter. but its funny i remmember hearign this type of music from late 1989 early 1990...in panama

more power to you..

Also you made a comment of people "reggaeton" beats been wack? its hard to consider any reggaeton track "wack or good" because they are all basically the same. the day Fruitty Loops or casio makes its preset song, everyone will be reggaeton producers..

its ok bro... i respect your point of view... i wouldnt say that much about dancehall since i dont listen to it a lot... all ive heard is kevin little... and some others... but not more thatn that.. so i wouldnt say... i would advice you to save coments like those when you can be considered ignorant in reggaeton music... plus... i would also mention dj ecko / diesel / tnb as the new era of producers... so its ok... they dont make tracks y the dozen so i dont think u might of have heard theyre beats...

but anyway... opinions are opinions...
chek yall later.
heard my beats?
i would like some feedback...
