I'm making a transition from Logic 9 to Pro Tools 8.

I added a click track and a few instrument tracks. I put the drums plugin on one track and the organ plugin on another. I recorded the drums plugin with no problem. But, when I attempt to record the second instrument track, I can hear it in record mode. But, when I play it back. I don't hear anything. Can someone tell me what I'm missing?

I then put a mixer track in there, because I thought that was the problem. But, That didn't help.

Can someone tell me what step I missed?

Thanks

seems like you have to set the proper midi channel on your instrument track.

I really could use some help with this. I add the first instrument track and it plays fine. When I add a second instrument track using a different instrument plugin, the instrument does not make a sound or does not sound like it was played.

Right now, I would have to agree with you. I use a mac, but my someone I'm working with uses a PC. Logic is Mac only while pro tools is mac and PC.

ok, the last question is which plugins you use, cuz I remember there was some stuff with xpand. but anyways. when you have instrument track, get your plugin onto track and then simply use one of 16 midi channels. I dont have pt opened yet, but if you have problems lemme know I'll give you right instruction. Im not that much plugin guy buy i played with it a bit. (if you using digi mini grand plugin you have to to options>>midi and set up midi thru instrument i believe. I dont wanna mess it up now so ima js check n make sure.
