Alright so recently i just baught a mic ( Samson g-track) which i was told was pretty good and i have a iMac coming in soon so i can start recoring something
i am aware taht a g-track isnt amazing quality so, when i become more serious i plan on buying a apogee duet with a better condenser mic
now i also want to begin producing and making my own beats, but from many of the videos which iv seen im starting to beleive that i wont be able to with a just a program like reaper? should i upgrade to reason or pro logic?
also iv seen many using a mpc, would this be a good investment?
how do mpcs get all their sounds? do you put them in it or does it come preloaded with a million? also is this the only way i can chop up a sample? i have no idea how mpcs work but i feel like their important to making a good beat
Try reasons or ableton live...As a matter of fact...to be specific of what you listed for capabilities...get the latest edition of prollerheads recycle and ableton live and if you like the pad feel of the mpc you can purchase an Akai MPD 24 or 32 midi controller. Go on you tube and search both of these and there will be alot of videos of people using the software and there will be some tutorials also. But basicall recycle lets you chop up or slice up samples..strtch em..play individual slices(chops) and then save em in rex. or wav format to be used with sample players and other virtual instruments... Trust me you will love this program..I think you can download a demo from of the website. NOTE: I suggest you download and try all of the software demos before purchase...just to be sure it has the capabilities your looking for. Ableton live is awsome....it has instruments....samplers..beat machine sequencer...everything you need...you can also record live audio.....DONT FORGET TO CHECK YOUTUBE...

so if propelerheads Recylce can chop up samples and **** and record audio why would i need abelton live? just curious btw, or does recycle just have all the tools while other programs can actually make the beats and such, while abelton live has it all in one?
recycle is more like an virtual instrument..and it does not record...you will have to you ableton live to record the sample and then you will load it into recycle....Im not for sure but ableton may have a ample slicer...ahve to check the specs...
ohhh ok sick yo, so if i want to record any audio though i wold have to use abelton or reaper or something? or for chopping samples and such i use recycle,
is it possible to make a whole beat in recycle or would i import the samples all the diffrent parts to say abelton or reaper and put it all together their?
