Hey this is my very first time working on a gymnastics routine for an eleven year old. They want the first 15 seconds slower tempo, next 35 seconds faster tempo, and last 15 seconds slower tempo. Everything is being done from scratch.

You just create different tempo events in your sequencer.

Need more info. What program or equipment are you working with?

Do you want the tempo to gradually change from one to the next or abruptly change?

Also, do you have specific tempos in mind? 70 bpm to 115 bpm back to 75 bpm? Or are you using slow to fast to slow as a ballpark?

There should be an option in your program to change tempo in either: an automation track, or a tempo track.

It isn't all the same piece. In fact it is three different beats with 3 different tempos. I'm using Logic Pro 8. I'm looking for the closing beat which I have already made. But I need it to transition well with the end of the 35 second beat. I'm just fading in, fading out I know you guys may be thinking about the tempo changing feature but that's not what I am using.

Sounds like you're taking 3 regular beats/songs u have a putting them together. I used to do this all the time in college when my friends were putting together dance routines and step shows.
Just make sure they are placed well after each other and they can just adjust their routine to how the music is... as opposed to vice versa.

If you want to blend a little better.. u could make do a few stretches to it or so. But I never did all of that.
