Hey guys, I've just ordered my first little DJ set

I got myself a

Denon DNHS5500

I checked out videos of it on the net and it seems good and I liked the look of it and I just got a basic 2 channel mixxer by Numar

Now I want to get to grips with DJ'ing - blending tracks together / beat matching for house party's etc

Anybody have any words of advice?

I've seen your post for awhile now and nobody wants to give you an answer so I'll share some advise. First, I've been deejaying for over 20 years so you think I'm some young "hater" as some would say. With that said, in order to understand the essense of the art of deejaying, you should start with 2 turntables and vinyl. Don't just learn the basics but MASTER the basics so when you do get stuff like the Denons you will have an understanding of why you do what you do and transfer that knowlege to the digital equipment. As far as house parties, blending, and the other things you mentioned, it takes time and practice. Peace be with you.............Rob Mixx
