I follow this mixing engineer who runs The Recording Revolution (best tutorials I've ever seen all time).
He posted this after being on a mastering seminar, where the one mastering engineer who held it tricked the whole audience of mixing engineers.

Just sharing this here, because while I've always understood the importance of this habit, I never understood that its impact was that huge:
