Some great mastering insight for online platforms

One thing that I now realize have been missed out a bit on musicproduction forums in general, is optimizing the master of a song to make it respond the best to various song level adjustments on different online platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, etc.
Turns out that the song that is the loudest waveform-wise can actually be so heavily volume adjusted on these platforms that it gets played back the quietest as you listen to it, compared to a less dynamically reduced master that gets less volume adjusted and sounds louder for the listener.
