Effects in FL Studio 10

Hey guys anyone happen to know how to make like the background sound that you can hear in like marvins room and other songs like that. Its like sorta slow and just helps set the mood. I wanna do it for some beats but I have no idea how, I tried the filter but that didnt change the sound of the piano too much idk why. Can anyone help me out?

Its just a low pass filter if were talking about the same thing, google it. Very easy to do in FL and pretty much any other DAW.
