Tutorial: Orchestration Principles

Since Mano did that excellent video, there have been many more lessons posted. Lesson 16 of the Interactive Rimsky-Korsakov Principles of Orchestration has just been posted. Here is the link:

For those unfamiliar with the course, the popular Rimsky-Korsakov "Principles of Orchestration" is one of the finest orchestration boks ever puiblished. This online interactive edition presents this classic work as a multimedia, self paced course. And it's free!

The course has 26 lessons with numerous interactive scores (275 of them) that allow you to see the score while you hear the music. There are exercises with scores, midi files and audio clips. I Love Orchestra, Im a Cello Player Myself(6yrs).(Me and My Cello) Base,Viola,violin are just as beautiful. Thank You for the free lessons.

another usuefull post. ive got a feelin this forum is gonna help almost as much as TweakHeadz. love the visual's (vids) as thats my most preferred method of learning

Why comparing? Mano is doing tutorials that people really need and this work really deserves a praise. No matter what is available anywhere else.
