why do people make remakes? like why don't you spend your time making something new and hot?

Doing remakes help you learn how to achieve a certain sound and is also great practice ..... youll get alot of artists who will ask can you make a beat like so and so's so and so single and 9-10 times youll be able to recreate because youve alreading been doing it for a good minute

The way I learned how to make beats was from making remakes and downloading project files online from people who made remakes so I could sit and study every instrument and what they did with that instrument to make that track.... It really does help- you might start a track and in your head you hear something that would be perfect but you have no idea how to execute it as a beginner this is where studying remakes and stuff can help
