How do I keep a sample playing on one pad until I hit a different one?

It seems to me that the pad only plays if I hold in the pad.

When I turn my Polyphony up it overlaps my sample. I want the latter pads to cut off the previously hit pad. I'm so sad...

I've got an Mk2 if that helps.

Oh yeah, it plays the way I want it in Sample mode, but when I put back to just pad mode I have to hold down the pads for me to play it.

set your polyphony and choke to 1. now you can duplicate your sample to chop it and play however you want with the sample cutting off when you hit another pad....hope it helps!
