make them punchy and hoppy. haha ahem the high hats creat that bounce between the kicks and snares but vary everything. There isn't one simple answer to this haha just practice practice practice...and then practice again...and practice more after that hahaha you'll get it!

Make sure your drums are the dominating force. Samples and other elements can come after. If recording vocals, remember the vocals must be the dominating force, then drums, then bass and then samples.
And be yourself and express those things inside you. Your innerself is key to being original because there is only one you. Don't follow the others.

Keep trying. You're gonna make some shitty beats tbh, but don't give up. I promise you if you keep pushing you're going to improve quickly. Also id recommend starting with one genre and mastering it, then move on to another one. This will help you really perfect your craft and overall make you a better producer.
