Just finished audio school which was fu. But i dnt think was worth it for 20,000 for 1 yr of limited hands on. Anyways im real dead set On being a musical producer/composer and woukd like to do stuff for video games and music for movies and just starting out On Keys. Self teaching myself is a very slow process and i cant seem to find a teacher that can teach me good lessons so now im looking into college courses. Sure i will pick a school but not sure if a degree is recommended by big time companys like warner bros or Other big names that have there go to composers. I wanna be great and also know my theory and put it to use in the studio as well.

Degree's in music really dont mean much, people can more about experience and credits. Its not that they will look down on you for having a degree just dont expect that a degree will guarantee you anything or put you above some one who doesn't have one. If you feel going to school will better than you, than do it. Its what you learn and apply from school that really matters. No school/courses can really help you be a "producer" you can learn theory and stuff. But being a producer means you have to be a entrepreneur as well, so if you cant push yourself to learn or market your music and continually to send off tracks to be placed even while being denied that you want be successful.

Your work shows initiative while a degree has an aspect of you "being told to".
