what are " jazz undertones " ?

i was reading the release of UDORA ( www.udora.com ) and it said on it " Combining a rock influence with jazz undertones ". what it does mean ? looks like they uses " jazz notes " , but can anyone explain it right for me ? including the theory ? where i can read more of it ? thanks!

it basically means, "JAZZ- hey thats something you havent heard in a while huh, soo.... we're unique and fresh!".

im only being so cynical because i can't hear any jazz undertones in the 1 song i previewed..

jazz undertones to me, would mean there was space for improvisation
