What does it mean to play perfect fifths

I know like the perfect fifth of B is F#, or the perfect fifth of C is G.

But what do they mean when they say "PLAY" the perfect fifth.

For example, if i played the perfect fifth of B minor, i would just play WITHIN the perfect fifth? I.E. between B and F.

or what?

Please explain this simply, because i'm not a music theory expert, but i do know scales, chords and progressions, that's about it.

Yeah, I guess the perfect fifth of A is E, so i guess if someone told me to play the perfect fifth of A, I'd play E.

F would be the diminished fifth in the scale of B. F# would be the perfect fifth in B because its 7 semi-tones away from B which makes it "perfect".
