I've been into tech house for quite a while but when it come to these deep harmonic sub basses i just fail all the time, all i'm after is some fresh ideas to point me in the right direction.
Live every one else i Have the usual soft synths Massive, FM8 and i also have a Virus Ti so i know i got the tools for the job. I tried Volume envelopes on Sine waves octave higher so they decay quicker but i feel this still does not give me the timbre i'm looking for. Ive also saturated and filtered the bass but i still feel it just not there.
My examples of what am looking for:
Hot since 82 Like You John Jogurt Remix Bass appears at 0.48 and full with drums at 1.03

And another is PAWSA Irony bass starts straight away

I'm not trying to fully replicate the sounds i just want that sound so i can put my spin on it.
