Sweep FX Sound Design Tip

Hey guys, I just posted a tip on my blog for creating sweep fx (risers, etc) like you hear in pop music. I know there are sample sets around, but I think those are often too extreme.

All you do is create a pink noise generator (or download a wav here) and use a narrow bandpass filter which you then automate. That's it! So get to adding a little dynamic spice to your music.

For fellow logic buddies the post includes a channel strip that does exactly what I have just described, minus the automation. Enjoy!
 
Can you be more specific on automate? like the cutoff? the res? the volume?

ANOTHER TIP - when i do sweeps with noise i put a strong synced delay right at the end of the sweep and it glues the mix together
