Stickey bass..Or bass thats really sucked into the beat

i know theres alot of ways to make your baselines duck with sidechain compression and whatnot but i was wondering after listening to a couple afta 1 songs... how do i get some of these bass sounds he is rocking they sounds so stickey.. their place in the mix is awesome

maybe its something to do with the attack ? of thebase sounds..

I only listened to the first track. It sounds like a pizzicato double bass that has had a slow attack added to it's VCA envelope, so that the pizz is all but swallowed up.
