I love the sound of acts like Kate Boy or Niki & The Dove but i'm having trouble getting those punchy, clean, almost acoustic - sounding synth sounds they use. Sorry, i can't post links because the forum won't let me, just google the names and videos will come up if you're curious though.
I'm using Ableton and im a beginner with synthesis, so making those sounds from scratch using Ableton's own instruments is beyond my abilities for the moment, if it is at all possible.
Can you recommend some good plugin synths that have useful presets that i can start with for that kind of sound?
