Outstanding Percussion

Good Evening ,
I ask myself how to set up the masterchannel to get the percussions , especially the snare and the whole palette of sounds that is used to fill the upper frequency spectrum , punchy , loud and outstanding like in this track :

I know that it has something to do with the settings of the channels the different sounds are operating on , but I think most of the tracks of that kind won´t sound the same without editing going on on the masterchannel .

agogo bells rather than cowbell (or a very small cowbell if you can't find an agogo sample)

merengue guiro

sistrum

808 snares

hi hats

moan tone on a conga head (push finger tips across the surface of the drum skin)

808 kick/bass

reco reco (also called a metal shaker or shekere - you can make your own with some rice and a thin cylinder)

808 hats

manipulated conga and cuica samples (re-pitched)
