Music Theory?

I'm a new producer, I use FL and want to learn music theory, I heard it really helps crafting original compositions if you learn the major/minor scales, time signatures, etc. Is there any place online that I can learn music theory?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can try this site: www(dot)musictheory(dot)net. They have a lot of tools that help, as well as lessons to teach you about music theory for free, but they do take donations. Hope this does help in a way.

Thanks, didn't use that site, I used warbeats.com and looknohands.com and just various tutorials off youtube and I already learned a lot. So far I think it's A LOT easier to make a melody based off a scale. I'll go to that site too, thanks mang.
