Menacing Note Combos Article

Two out of three is not bad -

Tritone is either chilling or neutral depending on your view point - it is the active interval in dominant 7th chords and appears in two positions in the diminished 7th chord. this cannot be inverted, as the interval remains the same.

minor 2nd or semitone definitely edgy and chilling when used consecutively

minor 3rd is sort of there but as it can occur when you harmonise a melody in scale tones 3rds (mixture of minor and major 3rds depending on position within the scale of individual melodic tones). It is also part of the diminished 7th chord being the distance between each pair of tones n the chord. when inverted, the minor 3rd becomes the major 6th.

I would add the major 7th (minor 2nd inverted), which in it's own right is also edgy and jarring when used consecutively.
