Melody Help

Hey guys, just wondering if anybody knows the trick to having rappers rap on a beat (specifically with the melody)? I can make decent beats with the melody, but have a problem with creating material that rappers will actually use. Thanks.

Honestly, rap tracks don't have a "melody." The rap itself counts as the main lead of the track. If you mean like a hip-hop rap, then having some funk grooves would be good, but still not a "melody" as such. Lots of songs with vocals use the vocals as the melody.
