At teh breakdown of the song, there are some strings played really fast, im just wondering if these were played live or in step? or what?
 
by the way what is "step?" Step sequence? sorry I couldnt help.

I don't think they were too fast to be played live on a keyboard. I feel like it coulda been either step sewuenced or live, although I don't know of many synths with strings that sound that good, maybe it came from the Triton. I doubt they hired somebody to play real strings for that track though. It could even be from a sample cd.

I do know that I was feelin that part of the song.
 
download the midi file

put it in ur sequencer

find which instrument it is ur lookin 4

mute the other tracks

find the part ur lookin 4

look at the pattern & bobs ur uncle!
 
i got tonnes of midi files for various artists including JT!

i havent got that song inparticular but im sure it is on the net somewhere!
 
I would not trust the kind of midis available on the net, as they are usually ring-tone quality at best. Better off listening to the actual song. Actually, I'm looking at the credits right now, and strings were played by Charles Veal & The Southwest Chamber Orchestra. Guess that answers the original question.
