It's holding me back

I had fl studio before i got my triton and mpc, and sequencing with fl was so easy. I find it hard to make my music "roll" like it used to. All of the notes would be perfectly aligned with the rest of the other ones, and thats what made it good. When i make the beats on my mpc it sounds like trash. I know it may take time to learn how to sequence with the hardware but i think id rather do it with some type of software. I heard cubase was a sequencer and i heard it's pretty popular right now. Would it allow me to sequence? Is it easy? and are there any other alternatives? I would appreciate any feedback.

i did the switch from hardware to software a couple months ago. I now only use cubase as my sequencer and it does rock. All of my new tracks are software only, and they actually sound better than my hardware ones :(
Pity, cuz i'd rather use hardware because its cooooler!

Cubase is very easy to figure out if you've done prior sequencing in FL.

Other options that spring to mind are Sonar, Logic, Cakewalk, Ableton ....

Everyone will give you a different answer as to what is the 'best' sequencer... maybe get some trial versions of them and see what floats your boat.

Have fun!
