How to make 808s so smooth?

hey bro, I use Camel Crusher on my 808s. Use the "more beef" preset on it and its super clean

you'll notice there's a short kick overlayed with the 808. At times the short kick is removed, and at times the 808 is as well. The kick is providing the "thump", the 808 is providing the "smoothness". Any sinwave generator can make an 808/bass sound like that. You just want a long release on the tail and make it monoploy so sounds don't clash.
