I'm a fan of actually feeling and experiencing music vs. just listening to it. This video opened my Eyes to new ways of listening. For those who don't know who Evelyn Glennie is, she's a percussionist from the UK. She is completely deaf! She hears music better than most people. She was also the drum leader for the 2012 Olympic opening. That's actually where I first learned about her. Check it out!

Have seen this a lot of times. I have some of her music with Fred Frith, its really dark but amazing, a bit like acoustic drum'n'bass. I've always liked music which contains harmonic reference points that make you feel. Probably seems like a lose connection to most but I think a lot of hardware samplers do this, they sort of gel together frequencies. Capturing the energy of the world around you is an important thing and difficult to do but very rewarding.
