How do the guitar and bass guitar work together in this song???

Ive been practicing getting on how to make the guitar and bass work together on the computer. (also recreating motown guitars and bass)
I use realstrat for the guitar with a guitar rig 5 with the preset auto rhythm from guitar rig
And a scarbee pre bass for the bass

I have a difficult time knowing which part the guitar plays and the bass plays when the guitar slides to lower notes sounding like the bass for a little bit (or it could be the bass playing the slides)
Is there a way to tell how many guitars are played in a song and what part of the song they play???

Heres an example of the guitar sample I wanna recreate:

Pretty much the beginning of the song

The bass guitar sliding thing is at :07

hmm sounds like at least 3 guitars in their

i can hear:
1 bass guitar sort of droning a basic bass line
1 mid range guitar hitting chords/harmonies
1 other player playing high range little twangy licks here and there

i'm pretty positive this has to be at least 3 guitars as the chords seem to still ring as the high little licks are going...someone will probably correct me.

it sounds like the bass guitar and mid range guitar play the notes simultaneously when that slidey bit comes on :-)28)
pretty sure that goes for :07 and all the other licks like it.

I'm hardly the qualified expert but that's what i'm finding...there were 10 guys in that band apparently...lol

bass guitar~ playing the descending and ascending low-pitched lines
rhythm guitar ~ playing chords
lead guitar~playing licks and chordal fills
