How is the bass line of this track produced?

I think they are more like simple sine waves following the patterns of other synths/instruments of the chords, to play rhythmically with it...

Or maybe 2 sine waves, one playing and octave lower than the other...

I love seeing other artist post familiar material!
And Kygo in particular is not a man for basslines. His music lies in his melodies and remix stems (soon to be original album I guess, thanks to sony music entertainment). and man that other song is so Kygo sounding it's scary.

This genre is important to have a simple bass line, simple sine wave (play around with your envelope settings). There is so much happening in the rest of the music you don't want the bass to confuse the movement. Sidechain's are always worth trying how it sounds at least. I have never taken one off. All depends on how only sub your bass will be vs how high freq your kick lies in the spectrum. These two tracks/artist have generally light, clicky simple kicks.

Edits; oops typos
