Do you use Synths when you make a Sampled Beat?

yeah i do
i just started doing it to, and im mad at myself i did it so late lol

Sometimes Ill leave synths out, but now I add synths, because music is evolving
and if you expectingto make it with just 8 bar samples and a hook, then you gotta long road ahead of you

Yep, i started doing it myself real late as well.
My beats where always: Sample + Drums + Bass
now im adding my own melodies on top of the sample its melody
I like Pads a lot

when adding my own melodies on top of it. it feels more like my own thing. especially when i loop a sample
i do a lot of filtering besides that though

But im not really a great keyboard player
I usually look for samples that already have a lot of instrumentation in it

it depends on the sample
but to me less is more it also depends what kinda feel i want to create when i'm sampling something
