ok, good response so far to last question on chorus's. Now if your making a beat thats not specifically for anyone what do u do in regards to

    1. Length, (how many bars/mins roughly)
    2. do u add any quirks or sounds that rn't consitant throughout the song
    3. how many bars do u put to a verse and how many to a chorus.
    4. add anything else u may think might help when doin just beats without artist. (i know most people say u should have an artist in mind when making a beat but most of the time ur not gonna work with that artist, but yes u can still give it that kinda feel)

again, these questions r for (some of them) but mostly for all the newbies...some of these questions might be dumb or real basic, but i remember thinkin some of these things and have had others ask me the same kinda things.
    there's enough everybody else's....be yourself

I make them the same way i do for Artist same Structure although for myself i add what i like rather than what they may like.

I often over produce stuff that i make just for me to listen to.

i dont change the way i make beats, if there aint going to be featurin an artist, for one reason at a later date i mite work with an artist and use that beat.
but also, it good to have a good length for a track, i usally use 8 to 12 bars for the verse, and no more tha 7 bars for the hook (may seem long, butmostly 6 bar hooks is what i do).
and in the verse, every 6 to 8 bar change it up a lil bit take out and instrument or add one, just so that it dont sound repeative.
thats my personal prefrenece, which i tend to change once in a while.

its all bout what it the best way for u as a producer to make trackz that u like and other people will like.
try using some new or diffrent mixing techs, like delays. i learnt how to use that the other day and ive nearly used it in every track ive made since, (which i gota stop doing).

    Hope it helps.

I would do roughly three and a half minutes with a chorus being 4 or 8 bars, a verse being 16, 20 or 24 bars. If a verse is the first part of the song keep it at 16 bars so you can get to the point of the song. A bridge or middle 8 should usually be after the second chorus at 8 bars. There is usually 3 or 4 verses to a song, but it could be less or more. Dont stay too strict to these guide lines because thats what they are, GUIDELINES. Lots of artists have done 10 minute songs, but I wouldn't suggest it because when people listen to music they usually have a small attention span.

P.S. Dont put any sounds in a song unless they have a point for being there
