Composing songs

I am new to producing but would like to know what the general structure for an R & B song should be. In terms of the intro, breakdown, main section and the ending. Thanks

Good Question, most producers usally will say do your own thing. but the Structure is Intro verse chorus verse chours bridge chorus outro. but is you wannt to be complicated but a cool thing is Intro, verse,prechours, Chorus,Verse,prechours,chorus,pre bridge, Bridge, Breakdown , outro.

The best way to keep up with that is to listen to a local R & B station and focus on a half dozen songs.
See if you can identify the sections in them. the common thread is an "in-your-face" hook. Check out where and how often that happens in the song.
