I usually make choruses first in the creative process but I can never dumb them down elegantly enough to form the verse or make an interesting verse rhythm that maintains the signature/mood of the chorus (1,5,1,2,3 or 1,5,1,3,5 left hand patterns are SO boring and over used). The Soundcloud clip below has two short examples in the key of G Major and is a 6534 progression. I'm always stuck with a chorus that hits a dead end. Suggestions? Tips?
