Can you identify this percussion sound?

In Justin Timberlake's tune "Don't Hold the Wall" from his "20/20 Experience" album there's this low-fidelity percussion sound that I would really like to identify. Attached is a very brief clip.

marching snares (several) or log drums high pitched, though I prefer the marching snares
