    Automatic chords

    Hi All,

i don't know if this is the right session but i didn't really know where to place this discussion...

I know some keyboards have an "automatic chords" system, that allows to play a melody while the key boards automatically plays the chords to go with it.

I was wondering whether this is possible with Hypersonic 2 or anyother software?

also...sound modules as Fantom xr or Motif rack do this?

Learn how to play the chords your self, you cant just play one note and expect a keyboard to know what you want. If you play the note C, you could have Cmaj,Fmaj,Amin all in there 1st and 2nd inversions, so thats 9 different chords right there. Thats just the very basics to, theres alot more chords that can be played using the note C.

You can get midi effects that will turn your midi notes into midi chords, like Chordator you can find here.

    Chord function

The Fantom XR does have a chord function where you just hit one note and it plays it in a chord. And you can choose if you want it C, Cm, Cmaj7, Cmaj9, ...etc. The purists will knock it, but I think its pretty sweet.
