X Factor (violin, synth, horns)

I dont play any instruments... I dj ed for 6 years and then took pro tool and audioengineering classes

here is the predicimant i am in
drums, basslines, chorus, hooks, lyrics... not a problem

orchestrating your x factor and chorus with instruments is when I am having problems. I try playng it straight on the keyboard through reason , but i always have problems with the way it ends up sounding. there is no progression in the violin/horns etc.


should I just buy samples that are already played , or is that just copping out .

Nooo....You dont want to buy rifts man, Get to know your keys, how eachof them play, what they do, there purposes, Personally, i dont read music and i dont know what the chords or keys are but i can get on the keyboard and bang sum dope stuff out, just by ear, It just takes practice man
