Where can I learn to recreate any sound I want?

Is there some kind of book or videos(would like videos to hear what effects sound like) that can teach you mostly all of the functions of most synthesizers? I want to recreate things like monster growls , soft rich plucks , even drums and know why x + y makes this sound instead of just how. I know adsr , basic wave forms , the basic filters , lfos , I know what fm does but don't know how to create specific sounds with fm synthesis. A friend recommended a software called syntorial but I have no way to purchase it(no way to create paypal).

Watch lots of tutorials and practice.

You start to pick up techniques for certain aspects of a sound. e.g. pitch enveloping for percussiveness, what unison sounds like, what phase modulation sounds like etc

FM sounds are very difficult to replicate- they'll probably be one of the last things you learn how to replicate.
