What's the best way to arrange a beat?

i need help arranging music. I just want to know how you guys or girls arrange your beats? Do you do your drums first then melody then bass around it. Can you guys give me your take. I make drums first then melody then then the bass line.

I do the same most of the time but it depends really, you might have a dope melody in your head or you might have a dope drum beat in your head. You just put it down and then build around it. There isn't a right or a wrong way that's the beauty of music so just do what you feel.

yeah like he said, but i do mostly sampled beats so i take a random sample and "chop and screw" and mess around with it until i get a sound that my ears like then i build drums around that throw in a little bass and then walk away come back and throw in effects and stuff

i usually make the drums first (normally kick and snare pattern first then the other parts) and then i will add synths, effects, samples (these 3 in a random order) though it depends

I always lay down the intruments first, you know if you have got a hot beat without drums its gonna bang when the drums are put down.
