What is "TRILL"....???

Looked it up and I get 2 different things.

Is it a genre/style of music (i.e. similar to trap) or is it a Piano/Composition technique (successive repeat of 2 notes back and forth)...???

Also...I remember hearing of a producer a few years back named 'Tigran Mimosa' and I remember him saying something about "Trillogy". Does Trill have something to do with him and his music....???

I guess trill can be many things, a slang word for one, but to me it's Houston/Memphis style music. I'd say it was biggest back when Chamillionaire and Paul Wall were hot. As far as the sound itself, it's kind of like slowed down and dreamy so I can't say it's comparable to trap. A lot of chopped and screwed carries that feel whether its a remix or original song. The most recent mainstream example I can think of is Peso & Purple Swag by Asap Rocky from LiveLoveAsap. Of course he was biting the original DJ Screw who invented the sound basically so just search his name on YouTube for the real thing.
