They come in a the chorus which starts at 0:52. It's a short hit not a sustained string. Hits on the first and third counts of an 8 count. It sounds like a violin sort of but not really. You hear them commonly in hop hop songs but I've never been able to pin down what is happening with that sound/what it is exactly that gives it that sound.
Anyone know what's going on there? Or what that sound is exactly? Anyone who is even remotely familiar with hip hop production is probably really familiar with this sound.
