What synth is used on this record?

Well, since there's a Prophet 5 pretty prominently on the cover, that's a pretty safe bet...the patch itself is about as basic a saw patch as it can get. I'm not sure if that can even be called "sound design". There's nothing going on in it :D

...unless you're talking about the plucky chords on top of it instead of that lead.
 
are you sure its a simple saw patch? what makes it sound so airy? is really just reverb/delay? thanks for the help so far!
 
I don't think the reverb (which isn't really noticeably, although I'm fairly sure there is some) makes it so "airy" - mostly it's probably about how sparse the mix is and the easy level it's at in it. Plus there's no low end in it and the melody is very...mellow. So I think it's mostly about those "feel" factors that contribute to the air-y-ness than having a lot of fx on a complex patch (which is what a lot of people would probably go for were it made today).
