What is a sustain pedal???

I work in FL studio and had a DIFFICULT time trying to have to my notes slide on my Kontakt Scarbee PreBass.
But I figured out that I needed to link the (sustain pedal) Midi #CC 64 to a Midi Out knob and turn the knob up.

And it worked just fine!


But then I tried doing the same technique with another guitar vst I had but didn't work.

What does a sustain pedal do???

a sustain pedal is meant to hold all notes on until it is released
it has tow values Off/On

these are defined as
0-63=Off
64-127 = On

scarbee basses use it for a different purpose to most other vsts, so trying to use it as you did would not necessarily work
